The Human Lens

Today’s Europe grapples with the growing problem of the so-called honor killings of women in different countries highlighting that we need comprehensive policy to deal with this complex phenomenon which is an ancient as mankind itself.

From mankind’s history we can trace honor murders events happening in Medieval Europe, Roman Empire and the Arab peninsulas. The concept that woman’s virginity belongs to her family  therefore for any deviation senior male members of the family have the right to execute an unmarried but sexually active woman, the story of killings in name of honor remains the same where the locations, circumstances and names change.

In recent times, the Council of Europe has brought much-needed attention on the killings of women by their community and family members for protection of so-called honor is far more extensive in different European states.

The Council of Europe has strongly condemned the crimes of “honor crimes” and  called for…

Dijsselbloem ruined Greece, still hates Varoufakis

Dear Kitty. Some blog

This 2013 video is about childhood hunger in Greece.

In Dutch daily Trouw today, there is an interview with Blairite politician Jeroen René Victor Anton Dijsselbloem, ex-Dutch Finance Minister and ex-boss of the Eurogroup imposing disastrous austerity on Greece and other countries.

From that interview, about a new book by Dijsselbloem about his experiences as he sees them (translated):

Dijsselbloem: Many people have thought that I would attack many people in the book. But I have absolutely no need to settle accounts with anyone.

Interviewer Christoph Schmidt: Except with Varoufakis.

Varoufakis was the finance minister in the new Greek government, elected on an anti-austerity platform. Varoufakis warned other European governments on the disastrous consequences of austerity, like the rise of neonazism. After the Greek people in a referendum had overwhelmingly rejected austerity, the European Union, in the words of the…

IRS Approves Tax-Exempt Status For An Organization That Plans To Crowd-Source Funding For The Wall | Daily Wire

Trump:The American Years

Earlier this month, the Internal Revenue Service approved the America Border Foundation’s application to be recognized as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization which has the goal of crowd-sourcing money toward building a border wall on the southern border.

The founder and Managing Director of the organization, Quentin Kramer of Maryland, said he bought the domain for the organization’s website, fundthewall.com, in 2015 after having conversations about the possibility of crowd-sourcing the funding for the wall.

“When Americans elected President Trump, that came with a promise: we’re going to build a wall,” the website says. “The Democrats and the establishment Republicans in Congress would love to see this promise go unfulfilled. We are here to provide needed leverage and as necessary a funding source for the Department of Homeland Security so they can achieve operational security on our southern border including construction of the border wall.”

About That AP Report on Bruce Ohr: Skip the Headline, Look at Detail Hidden Mid-Way… | The Last Refuge

Trump:The American Years

There’s an Associated Press report published today presenting a ridiculously slanted version of the Bruce Ohr testimony from the perspective of two leaking democrat congressional staffers who were present. However, if you fly passed the nonsense narrative engineering, and go way down in the article you might note this (emphasis mine): […] One of the meetings he recounted was a Washington breakfast attended by Steele, a Steele associate and Ohr. Ohr’s wife, Nellie, who worked for the political research firm, Fusion GPS, that hired Steele, attended at least part of it. […] That breakfast took place amid ongoing FBI concerns about Russian election interference and possible communication with Trump associates. […] That revelation prompted the FBI to open the counterintelligence investigation on July 31, 2016, one day after the breakfast but based on entirely different information. (link)Breakfast with “a Steele associate” on July 30th, 2016.“A Steele associate”?What, like the media…

Remember The Month of September – For Croatia!

Croatia, the War, and the Future

While Australian Croatians eagerly await in September the visit from Croatia of several outstanding people in the long-drawn and painful battles for free and democratic Croatia it is to be noted, with profound sadness but also with pride for the courage of Croatian people, that the month of September is marked by fierce battles against the Serb and Yugoslav Army aggressors for freedom and democracy. The aptly named tour of Australia “Croatia Uncensored” is organised by the Association “Croatian Diasporan Voice” and with the collaboration of various Croatian Community Organisations across Australia the tour has all the hallmarks of leaving a decisive footprint on the stage of toilsome efforts still in need of unwavering Croatian people’s dedication, both in Croatia and in the diaspora, if Croatia is to become a just, successful and free of communist heritage country for which rivers of Croatian blood were spilled during the 1990’s war.

What has become of America’s younger generations?

willisbryanblog

Let’s face it many of the youth including the twenty and thirty somethings have no role models, meaningful role models. How many of the males(young boys and men)want to be like their fathers? Hard working God-fearing men. How many of them actually know their fathers and in many cases how many know who their father is?

Their behavior indicates they lack a moral compass. They lack a moral compass because they were never taught right and wrong. Lacking a moral compass leads to believing that wrong is right and right is wrong.

Many mothers did and still do an outstanding job raising their children in the absence of a father. Raising boys to be men and girls to be women. Sadly in todays America those types of mothers are the exception rather than the rule. Not to leave out the men, many men raised and are raising children in the…

IBM Laid Off 20,000 “Older” American Employees, Then tried to Import 37,000 Foreign Workers to replace Them…

Trigger Reset

Outsourcing corporation IBM laid off about 20,000 older Americans in the last five years, a new investigation reveals, while the tech multinational sought to import at least 37,000 foreign workers to take U.S. jobs.

A joint investigation by ProPublica and Mother Jones reveals that about 60 percent of the Americans that were laid off by IBM in the last five years were workers over the age of forty.

This amounts to about 20,000 40-years-old and older Americans being laid off by IBM since 2014.

At the same time, IBM has attempted to import at least 37,000 foreign workers on H-1B visas since 2016.

Every year, more than 100,000 foreign workers are brought to the U.S. on the H-1B visa and are allowed to stay for up to six years. That number has ballooned to potentially hundreds of thousands each year, as universities and non-profits are exempt from the cap.
