A rocket crash site from the Apollo 16 mission has been discovered on the moon by NASA.
#AceWorldNews – Dec.11: The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, which has been orbiting the moon since 2009, caught the images 44 years after astronauts John Young, Charlie Duke and Ken Mattingly were sent into space on the mission.
The Saturn V rocket’s role was to propel the astronauts out of Earth orbit and towards the moon.
NASA directed parts of the rocket to impact the moon.
