#AceWorldNews – Nov.01: More than 50,000 runners from around the world pounded the pavement in New York City on Sunday, to take part in the city’s 45th marathon. The masses made their way along the 26.2 mile route that wove through the 5 boroughs as nearly 2 million New Yorkers watched.
Kenya’s Stanley Biwott and Mary Keitany took home the titles in the men’s and women’s categories, with Keitany becoming the first back-to-back winner since Paula Radcliffe in 2008.
It was Biwott’s first major marathon win when he clocked in at 2 hours, 10 minutes, 34 seconds. Keitany, a two-time London Marathon champ finished in 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 25 seconds.
