#AceSportsNews – Sept.20: Former Manchester United and Juventus striker Carlos Tevez has publicly apologised for his leg-breaking tackle on Argentinos Juniors midfielder Ezequiel Ham.
Tevez, who currently plies his trade with Primera Division leaders Boca Juniors, snapped the shin of his opposing player after mistiming a 50-50 challenge in his side’s 3-1 victory yesterday.
The challenge – which can be seen below for those who are less squeamish – came in the closing stages of a game in which both players had found the back of the net.
And Tevez says that he never intended to injure Ham and that there was no malicious intent in the challenge after a poor first touch took the ball away from his control.
