Liverpool ‘soldier’ Mamadou Sakho keen to nail down starting place after impressing against Bordeaux in Europa League draw

#AceSportsNews – Sept.18: Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has vowed to fight for a starting place after impressing in his first start of the season as the Reds drew 1-1 with Bordeaux in the Europa League.

The 25-year-old central defender has found himself on the sidelines, with Croatian Dejan Lovren taking his place in the opening five Premier League but, in manager Brendan Rodgers’ words, he was ‘immense’ as he took his chance to impress.
